Bridge^® is comprised of a pre-loaded drug stent and a delivery system. The delivery system is a rapid exchange balloon dilation catheter, and the stent is made by laser cutting with L605 cobalt-based alloy used as the metal stent platform. The drug coating is composed of rapamycin and degradable racemic polylactic acid and stored in the grooves on the external surface of the stent. Bridge^® transforms the “diffuse perfusion” of traditional drug stents into “targeted perfusion,” so that the drug is only released to the intimal surface of the diseased vessels in a targeted way, which ensures effectiveness while reducing the drug load and lessening the impact of stent surface endothelialization.
